Saying that only one domain is official is more helpful if it also explains how the other domains people come across relate to the bank. The notes below do that.
The domain corporateceb.com is not a website of China Everbright Bank (Europe) S.A., of its parent China Everbright Bank Co., Ltd., or of any company in the Everbright group. It is run independently of the bank, and the bank has no involvement in what appears there.
Because the two names are similar, please do not assume that anything found at that domain comes from this bank. Everything the bank issues — account details, mandates, offers, confirmations and correspondence — comes from www.cebbank.eu or from an address ending in @cebbank.eu. If a document or an instruction is unclear, contact the bank and it will confirm whether the item is its own.
cebbank.com is the genuine official website of the parent bank, China Everbright Bank Co., Ltd., in the People’s Republic of China. It is a separate site for a separate legal entity and it does not speak for the European bank. Business with the CSSF-supervised Luxembourg entity is conducted through www.cebbank.eu.
Beyond www.cebbank.eu and the redirecting alias cebbank.eu, the bank operates no website, no mobile application, no messaging channel and no social-media account. Addresses that resemble the bank’s can differ by only a character or two, so compare any address character by character with www.cebbank.eu before entering information or sending funds.
The bank runs no LinkedIn company page, and a page on LinkedIn is in any case a profile hosted on LinkedIn’s platform rather than a website of the bank. A WHOIS lookup on any domain shows when it was registered and in which country. A domain created recently, or registered outside Luxembourg, is not the website of a Luxembourg bank incorporated in 2017.
A fifth check needs no register at all.
